He had an incredible vision of his dream East Texas ranch and over the years not only acquired the property but also added lakes, fishing piers, and exotic wildlife. With the addition of a game proof fence, he was able to bring in wildlife of all kinds, many of which still roam wild in the area. In 2000 he sold the property to Texas Land and Lakes which developed it into Safari Waters Ranch. THE DEVELOPMENT: Great care was taken in the development of this area, to create a community which retains the beauty of the ranch and provids benefits for all the residents. Restrictions exist to maintain the integrity of the area. The homes which have been built thus far in the area are vacation homes as well as permanent residences.
